Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Caltunes collects, why, and how you can remove it. Caltunes is built and operated by Syfnet.

Information we collect

• Apple ID sign in identifier. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we store a stable, anonymized identifier tied to your account so your history stays connected across app launches. If Apple provides your name on your first sign in, we store it so the app can greet you by name. We never receive your Apple ID email address.
• Apple Music listening activity. With your permission (Apple Music authorization), Caltunes reads your recent plays and library so it can build your listening calendar. This includes song titles, artists, artwork, and the dates you played them. Caltunes never stores or streams the audio itself.
• Your activity in the app. Playlists you create in Caltunes, albums you save, and songs you remove from your history are stored so the app reflects your choices.

How we use this information

Solely to operate the app's core features: building your listening calendar, showing your saved albums and playlists, and letting you revisit past listening. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to any third party.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase, used exclusively by Caltunes to power the app's features. Supabase acts strictly as our infrastructure provider and does not use your data for its own purposes.

Third parties

• Apple. Authentication (Sign in with Apple) and music catalog and playback data (MusicKit, Apple Music) are provided directly by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms.
• Supabase. Our database infrastructure provider, used only to store the data described above.

Subscriptions and payment

If you subscribe to Caltunes Plus, your payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Caltunes never receives or stores your payment card details.

Your choices

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the app: open Caltunes, go to Settings, then Account, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your listening history, playlists, saved albums, and sign in identifier from our systems.

Children's privacy

Caltunes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
